So, I'm back to painting in a big way. Many new paintings in the works. Right  now I'm focusing on a commission. I was given almost free reign on this one. I was told some of my clients interests and left to my own imagination after that.
I also recently started up a facebook page for my art. Go ahead and check it out. Feel free to click like.

I've always had passion for the arts. I began to explore this part of me early on as a child.
At first with a pencil and paper, but in more recent years with paints. Paint tends to remind me that everything started as basic elements only to evolve into something much more complex. I prefer to use acrylic paint on either canvas or wood.
With my art I explore many facets of myself. This will range from my love for music to personal experience with love and pain. I also take a journey into my spiritual side creating beautiful and colorful depictions of space. This reflects the constant recycling and regeneration of the Universe and ourselves. After all, we are stardust. At times I reach a mild state of meditation while painting. This could be through painting stars for multiple hours at a time, or just losing myself entirely in a piece. I can escape the pressures of the trials and tribulations of everyday life.
When starting on a new piece I search within myself and draw upon my feelings or spirituality. I achieve balance in a painting with the colors I choose as well as the placement of various shapes and objects. Creating art fills me unexplainable feelings of confidence and euphoria. As I search within myself while creating, I hope my audience can do the same.

Well, it has been a while since I've been active on here. A lot has happened in my life over the last few years. My art had to take a back seat to other responsibilities. Now I am able to finally get back to my art. I have a few new paintings to submit sometime soon. Nothing too detailed or anything; just something to get myself back into it.

Well, it's been a little over two years since I wrote my last journal update. In that time, much has happened in my life. I'm now living with my girlfriend and her two year old daughter. I've taken on the full role of Daddy for this beautiful little girl. My art has taken a slight back seat to my other responsibilities. I'm still painting and entering shows, just not at the rate I used to. I do have a few new paintings to submit once I have a chance to get good pictures of them.

New paintings

4 min read
So, I have two new paintings to post. Unfortunately, the only camera I have is still my phone. I hate the poor quality of the images I get from it. Plus, my computer crashed a couple months ago and I lost photoshop. Should have it back soon. I just need to get my pc over to a friends. Hopefully he can part with his camera for a night or two soon. He recently became a father and his wife isn't being as generous with the camera as they once were. Understandable, but still frustrating for me.
I have also been working on my Pink Floyd Tribute. It should be done some time early next year. Now to get to work on something dark for a Halloween show/ party coming up.
